Why can't you just say, "j'y vais", do you have to say, "moi, j'y vais"?

My answer was accepted without the moi

Je me demandais la même chose. Merci.

Putting the "moi" after "j'y vais" was marked wrong. Why? It's an extra pronoun for emphasis, and I've seen it used at the ends of sentences. Is this an idiom, to throw in the "moi" earlier when it follows "peu importe"?

My understanding was that « peu importe » needs the subjunctive - why isn't it used here?

Or is it only « peu importe que » that requires the subjunctive?

I'm pretty sure that it's only with "que":

or:
