It sounds like 'garlic' to me. Lol. So I can differentiate it from Gàidhlig, when i hear 'garlic' I know it is "gàrradh" because you can grow garlic in the garden. I know, weird way to differentiate the 2 terms but hey, it makes sense in my brain.
