Perfect for the Dutch horror movie I'm writing
Or if you're about to get murdered in the Netherlands.
I imagined someone trying to stop another person from attempting suicide.
Or if you're cooking with your mother and you want to know if she's done with the knife yet...
"What's with the knife, we havin' cake or something?"
Ok Duolingo, there are funny questions and there are scary questions. This is a scary one.
One Dutch sentence I hope I'll never need to use
He screams "Here's Johnny" - in the 1970's film The Shining
What's the difference between je and jij? Anyone know?
"je" is the unstressed form, so "you" is the less important part of the sentence. The knife is the stressed part.
je is kort jij :) wij = we , zij = ze , jij,jouw,jou = je
Je is also used in "Jij hebt je vergist". In this sentence you can use both je and jij for the first word but the third word cannot be jij.
Hoi man, kan je een beetje langzamer praten? erg irritant
How do you know if it is supposed to mean 'What are you doing with the knife' and 'What do you do with the knife'?
"Mamaaa ik heb net een man vermoord..."
