"I am the bear."
Translation:Ik ben de beer.
So, I'm a bear, an apple, AND a banana...
Fear me! For I am the Fruit Bear!
This sentence sounds like something that might be overheard at the gay bar. Is there also the same slang for bear as a hariy gay man in the Netherlands?
Not that I know of, but I have to admit I'm not very familiar with slang used within the LGBTQ+ community. It's quite possible :)
Not sure how to differentiate between the sound of 'het bier' and 'de beer' .
Thanks. On a different note, my father is dutch and disagrees on the way the speaker says 'eet'. But then it's also possible he's been in South Africa too long :)
The speaker of Duo? I agree with your father, it sounds a bit odd in my opinion.. :P
thank you for this incredibly valuable input. truly a masterfully crafted comment. 10/10 would read again.
