https://chansonsfle.blogspot.com/?view=mosaic Chansons FLE is a site to discover and listen to frensh songs.

I have always loved Renaud, whose songs are a humorous blend of French and English. Renaud is a National Treasure in France, so it’s a good insight into French culture and humour too

A favourite of mine is Adieu Minette, introduced to me by a French boy from Mende during my travels there a long time ago...shout out to that young poet ‘Didier’ to say thank you for showing me this French cultural icon!

Enjoy your learning through music! :)

Renaud's best known song, which I really like, is Mistral Gagnant:

Although I prefer the cover version by Lara Fabian:

Coeur de Pirate has made a good cover version too.

Why, thank you for the Lingift! :)

Jeanne Moreau | le blues indolent
Catherine Ringer | Le pont des Arts (song by G. Brassens)
André Minvielle | Juliette et Lucie

Cette chanson est très jolie - Polo et Pan, "Pays Imaginaire". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MA2rWlOZqLU

Here's around 90 of my favourite songs that I've collected on Youtube. Many of the songs I like the most are actually towards the bottom of this list! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLu-6_ze1HUTQNMDbsp9u7nRJojeX0GveS

Dernière Danse by Indila . Dernière Danse = Last Dance.

Talking about Benabar, I love his song "Feu de joie". I've even translated it into English! https://lyricstranslate.com/en/feu-de-joie-bonfire-literally-fire-joy.html

wow there's a lot i could recommend but I'll try to keep it short and varied so you can find what you like and go from there! I'll also just list artists so you can go through their music on your own and see what you enjoy:

pepite, papooz, lomepal, Romeo Elvis, lewis ofman, verdredi sur mer, l'impératrice, bb brunes, grand blanc, Juliette armanet, clea vincent, bleu toucan, le dé, Caballero & jeanjass, nekfeu, gambi, népal, requin chagrin, paradis, la femme

A great song by Juliette Armanet is L'Amour en Solitaire :

Hi there! I recommend groups and singers like La Femme, Juniore, Vendredi Sur Mer, Odezenne and Pépite, if you like that retro vibe and a bit of indie electronica. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVPcvTZAmSA youtube.com/watch?v=t1qN5T3FDsA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCnQGXouAPo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xsikJv1a10 And here are some more catchy songs if you're not feeling that earlier vibe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NY_NoXztk-U youtube.com/watch?v=oiKj0Z_Xnjc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pKrVB5f2W0 I've been learning French for about as much as you! Good luck and Keep it up :)))
