Tu parles Francois

While in learn, I came across this. I wasn't sure what it meant, so I hovered over it. It said "do you speak French" When I typed that in as my answer, it was deemed incorrect. The answer said "you are French" however, when I hovered over this phrase, it never said anything about being French. Which is the correct translation? And sorry if I got the phrase wrong. Please correct me if it is. Thank you!!

Tu parles français With a . at the end means it's a statement "you speak french". French's grammar is a little bit different than ours so Tu parles français with ? at the end turns into a question. "do you speak french?"

Side note: Francois is actually français
