Tell me again, please, why we need the "a" in front of persons' names.

When we are talking to a person, we add an 'a' in front of their name. And lenite (as well as slenderise where necessary) the name when needed, of course. https://duome.eu/tips/en/gd

When talking about a person, we don't.
