Learn a fun way to practice Spanish

Hola amigos! Hope this tip will help somebody! So... I have a cousin who currently lives in Colombia, South America and teaches English to 5th graders. ( She's actually the one who suggested Duolingo.) Since she's fluent in Spanish and I wanted to learn it, I suggested that we swap emails in Spanish so I would have to traslate both what she sent me and what I wanted to send her. It has helped. I know what you're thinking, " I don't know anybody who's fluent in Spanish, and not many other people will either, you idiot! " Well, I have an idea for that too, my friend. :) If you have a friend or family member who's also studying Spanish, you could ask them to email and/or text you in the language your learning. I suggest using your phone or computer for translating because when I first started doing this I used a Spanish to English dictionary and it took me like 20 minutes to type two sentences! This can work for anybody learning any language so if it works for you, pass it on. :)

Those who don't know anyone that's fluent can use www.lang-8.com, you post whatever you want and get corrections by native speakers.

What a pity, university starts tomorrow for me. I am not the best at teaching but if you have any doubts I might be able to help, so don't hesitate to ask.

Thats actually what I'm starting to do with my friend. He's Spanish and fluent English so I'll text him about what I did during the day and he'll correct what's wrong. Tonight will be the first time I'll do it so I hope it will help, I can't see how it wont :)

Good luck. It's great that you know someone who's fluent. Let me know if it works. :)
