No Word Strength Decay

[deactivated user]

I've been on Duolingo for about 2 weeks now and my words have all stayed at Perfect strength it seems there is no decay for me at all.

We're working on the algorithm that determines word strength. We'll take a look at your account.

My verbs present 1, and colors in my french tree are very glitched.. colors only seems to practice grey, and verbs present 1 practice button just returns me to my tree.. very strange.. :/

Just to be clear, by colors I mean my colors lessons :)

Hi xythernz! This is a bug on our end that we're working on fixing soon. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I have the same problem. I've been here for 12 days and no skill has ever decayed... Please look at my account too. :)

Same here. Even when I'm doing a new lesson and I just barely make it through, it says I learned all the words perfectly. So a lot of the verbs I don't really know now have perfect strength :(

    The same here as well.

I am curious about how the system is intended to work. Once everything is up and running properly; if I keep learning within a language tree, then will the formerly learned lessons within that tree retain their perfect strength? Or will it be necessary to revisit those particular lessons in order to keep the strength up?

I'm just wondering how you guys are going to do things, thanks for the great service you provide.

Well, GraceNut, I have noticed in the past few days when revisiting languages that I haven't looked at for a while that some of the sections in the individual language tracks have had lessons added to them, resulting in the decay of the solidity of the individual sections, because of the incomplete sub-lessons

Same here, word strength does not seem to be decaying anymore.

I am having the same problem after a month. Nothing ever decays.

I know this is an old thread, but I am having this issue now as well -- nothing has decayed in a week or so :(
