"Immersion Practice" Mode
Apologize for the lack of a better descriptive name, but I think Duolingo users will benefit greatly in a mode where they can try translating and see how it compares to the current best translation. I think this way users can see how close they are and pinpoint what type of mistakes they are making.
I do find the translation system right now leads to better translations over the old, but the old system had the benefit of everyone trying to translate the sentence from scratch.

I too like some of the old features. I now have people taking out commas and changing my punctuation and adding old cliques and idioms that other people from other countries might not understand. I suppose they are getting credit for it, And also, we can't hear the sentences.
