Can mulher mean lady as well as woman? As I was marked incorrect for using lady.
Lady is translated as senhora, dama, fidalga. Woman would be just mulher
I wrote She is a woman. Why is incorrect?
My native language is spanish, I cannot understand the answer porposed.
So,unfortunately, your Spanish couldnt help you.. :(. SPANISH: Tú eres una mujer / ella es una mujer // PORTUGUESE: Tu es uma mulher / ela é uma mulher... (did you see why you had to use "you", not "she"?)
You are right! Thks for your prompt response.
I love doulingo. Pura Vida! (From Costa Rica)
It's a waste of time to teach the "tu" form of verbs. It's only used in certain regions, and you can easily get by without it.
