Can mulher mean lady as well as woman? As I was marked incorrect for using lady.

Lady is translated as senhora, dama, fidalga. Woman would be just mulher

So,unfortunately, your Spanish couldnt help you.. :(. SPANISH: Tú eres una mujer / ella es una mujer // PORTUGUESE: Tu es uma mulher / ela é uma mulher... (did you see why you had to use "you", not "she"?)

It's a waste of time to teach the "tu" form of verbs. It's only used in certain regions, and you can easily get by without it.
