Good luck! Also, the best way to learn a language (this one I've preached for so long), is a speaking partner (preferably someone fluent) and speak with, that will help you more than anything Duolingo can offer (no offense Duo)! :)

Good for you. I used to speak it as a child then lost it so I'm getting back too. Hope to finish in a year as well.

Good luck! I'm about to finish level 6. I'm a native Kurdish speaker but love to learn languages from across the world. Persian, Arabic, English so far! and going for French :) Best wishes Chanon!

Duolingo is wonderful to have a basis of grammar and afterwords you should practice with somebody, but this first step with duolingo or other ways is absolutely necessary. You can propose a language exchange with somebody you know speaks french and he or she has to be interested in what you can offer of course (in my case I can offer spanish and english). I did this when I was learning english and it worked out, although of course the best is to go to a french speaking country wherever in the world (Canada, France, Africa, etc). So keep going with duolingo up to the end.

Good luck with that. I am at level 8. If you continue daily you can do it earlier than a year. All the best

Congratulations!! I learnt very basic french back in primary school, but like you it fell out of my brain and disappeared. I am so excited about learning a language again :) and having a free service like this makes it even more fantastic. Good luck finishing during the rest of the year :)

I think you can do it in 6 months instead, just dedicate yourself and try to study everyday.

Well done! I'm only a little behind you, but I'm sure we'll finish before a year elapses.

I didn't learn any French in school. I've just been teaching myself through internet resources. It's a fun way to while away some time before getting some sleep. Duolingo is great because there's some incentive to keep at it. Have to keep my daily streak going!

By the way, cute profile picture. C'est trés joli. Bonne chance et à bientôt!
