Multiple-choice questions too easy

Some are so easy that I merely need a split-second flick at the screen. I never make mistakes in them (only when I am too lazy to read all three choices, and it so happens that two of them are correct).

Besides, I think reading the wrong choices may plant them in our brain..

So what exactly is the point of multiple-choice questions? Why are they irreplaceable?

I think they are there to make tasks more varied. I agree that multiple-choice tasks are usually very easy, this may be due to the fact that they are computer-generated.

I enjoy the multiple choice questions alot! They really make you think, because two sentences may be alike, except for maybe one letter or phrase, the gender may not be correct, etc.

Hey, I like them. A few softballs are appreciated after the hard ball curves.

I cover up the answers and formulate the sentence before looking. It might be nice if Duolingo did that automatically, but it's not difficult to do as as self-directed exercise.
