The English sentence given as correct (That bird lives always close to the sea.) has an unnatural word order. The better one (That bird always lives close to the sea.) was not yet accepted as correct.

"That bird always lives near to the sea" should also be allowed, I think? [reported]

Hi demoographics, -near the sea- is correct. Two options: -close to- or -near-.

"near to' is also correct. (I'm a native English speaker)

Certainly not usual. Don't think I've ever heard it in these 26 years.

One of the toughest listening exercises, had to listen to it several times until I could parse 'elääainalähellä'
