It has a pearl would be "Sillä on helmi". "Tässä on helmi" is here is a pearl

Agree. Or maybe "there is a pearl right here".

Exactly error for me

"it has a perl" is sillä on helmi. In this context the translation is entirely incorrect

    Wanted to note the same.

Tässä on helmi is simply here is a pearl. The given words are once more missing as DL never seems to check options and translations

The Finnish translates to "Here is a pearl." For "It has a pearl," the Finnidh would be "sillä on helmi" or "siinä on helmi."

Yeah its definitly not "It has a pearl".

This is not correct according to my Finnish partner

      I agree with Stiofan!

Given the words, "it has a pearl" is the only option but comes off weird. Finns always enjoy their foreign tv shows in the original sound and with subtitles and this would be a considered an ok Finnish subtitle translation with the visual cue of somebody studying a clam.

Agree totally with above comments. It is incorrect.

This is a Pearl. Tämä/ tässä on helmi.

      https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Taurelve

"This is a pearl" is 'Tämä on helmi', but not 'Tässä on helmi'. 'Tässä on helmi' could be translated a number of ways, like "In this is a pearl", "This has a pearl", and "Here is a pearl".

It is an odd sentence in english. Except maybe talking about a specific oyster.

Seems Duo is content to teach us incorrect Finnish. I guess I will just have to learn some nonsense to get through this stage.

      https://www.duolingo.com/profile/B452262

Is "There is a pearl inside." also correct?

      https://www.duolingo.com/profile/pieni_chilipalko

You could say "Tässä simpukassa on (sisällä) helmi/helmi (sisällä)". ("simpukka" - seashell, clam)

      https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Anu681723

      Tämä on helmi.

Es ist definitiv falsch. Der Fehler taucht an vielen Stellen auf.
