"Is the food gone already?"
"Is the food already gone" should be okay?
I think "is the food finished" should fit
Rephrase the sentence, or use either the word "all" or "already" before the word "gone". It doesn't make sense to use both words in this sequence.
Loppu is finished, isnt it
Why is the partative not used here?
If the food is all gone, it was countable. ;)
Shouldn't - "is the food already all gone" also be acceptable?
In my opinion, as a native speaker, already can go either before or after "all gone". It sounds more natural to me at the end, but putting it before is not incorrect, and some may prefer it that way.
