Shall we dance should be "Tanssisimmeko". "Tanssimmeko" means "Do we dance? " or "Are we dancing?"

Is "tanssitaanko" okay as well?

In everyday speech that would be even more usable. Tanssisimmeko is very very polite and formal. If you are in a party and want to dance with someone you can also say "Tulisitko (tuutko/tuuks) tanssimaan" (would you come to dance) or "Haluaisitko (haluisitko/haluutko) tanssia" (would you like to dance)

I think "tanssitaanko?" would be the most natural translation to "shall we dance?" even in written language.
