Stepping on a Lego brick?
That's how I read it!
I think we all know exactly which Danish toy to which they refer...! (:
I actually was confused as to why anyone would say this at first. I didn't know Lego was Danish haha.
I really love this one!
Danish toys really hurt if you step on them... xD
I think it is the best sentence
Your child has been sick a couple of days, you are tired and worried and in the midst of night you hear the child crying again. You get up and step on a Danish toy… Yeah, been there, done that, but I definitely did not say Au! Tanskalainen lelu!
"Wish you will step on...the danish toy!" :D :D :D
We Finns are nice people: first we ban the use of shoes inside, and then we sow legos on the floor.
I didn't know it's LEGO! I've read it without knowing that context and already was laughing)) thanks to the comment section I am now enlightened !
First time i saw this i read it as "Ouch a danish boy" which confused me but then i got it lmao
Can I just say how much I love this sentence!
-What is it? What do you feel?
-I don't know. It hurts.
- Hah, it will.
I didn't understand the joke until I read the comments, but this is pretty funny.
This made my day! Haha, I love this course.
Why is Lego censored
I am just speculating that Duolingo as a company does not want to endorse another company's products. In any case referring to it with tanskalainen lelu has a more humorous ring in it.
I thought it was a toy from the lelukauppa...
