Is it possible to say: Väinö, this is Norway?

Wouldn't that be "Tämä on Norja"? Like how you would say "Tämä on Matti" (This is Matti).

Väinö is a male name. Shouldn't it be "Väinö, hän on norjalainen" ?

That would be a different sentence. This one is something you might say if you are looking at map with Väinö and pointing at Norway. Or standing close to the border in Northern Finland and pointing in the direction of Norway.

Oh yeah. I didn't think of that scenario. Thank you ;)

That would be: " Väinö, he is Norwegian."

In Finnish, just like Estonian, the word "se" means both this, it and that. There is no difference. All of these should be accepted here!
