"Pihvi" comes from the Swedish "biff", in English "beef".

That's a restaurant order?

In case you might want to order your food in Finnish at a Chinese restaurant

It is the sequel of the Finnish horror story. The sauna is cold, the naughty dog is in the new white room, and now he's got his fangs on the large steak, too!

And father won't stop singing when the opera house is nearby!

koira or kuuma koira is a bit of a weird translation for hot dog. Maybe it's a regional difference, but I've never heard 'hot dog' translated as 'koira' or 'kuuma koira' in Finland- it's usually translated as 'hodari', e.g. https://yhteishyva.fi/reseptit/hodarit/recipe-21438

While hodari is the most common word, you hear also kuuma koira relatively often at least in the western parts of the country.

While hot dogs have been on the menus of grillikioski all the time, my observation is, that they went largely out of fashion at 1980's when kebab restaurants arrived. But hot dogs made a comeback a couple of years ago. And no, we don't put remoulade on them as Danes do.

I think it's a bad conversion of "mäyräkoira", which is the name for Dachsund/wiener dog, a.k.a. the "hot dog". But yeah, never heard anyone calling an hot dog or wiener just "koira".

Would "dog and a large steak" be acceptable?

dog and a large steak is marked wrong. it´s a sentence fragment and there is no context
