Where can I download Finnish books?

Just that. I want epubs to read in my Kindle, for free.

Besides Gutenberg, which are old books, with weird writing.

Lots of children's stories here: https://iltasatu.org/

Thank you. That site is amazing.

"For free" is a problem. If one resides in Finland, one can get a library card useful also for e-books, but outside Finland...

Gutenberg (or the Finnish mirror site Projekti Lönnrot...it seems they are collaborating so the material found in Lönnrot ends up in Gutenberg too) is still the best bet, even though one indeed has to pick and choose a bit to find the writers who are not too archaic, but there are some whose language should be clear enough.

Juhani Aho should be reasonably clear. Looking at the beginning of Lastuja, that passes today as standard language: https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/13691

Ditto for Kiljusen herrasväki by Jalmari Finne: https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/55938

The short stories by Maria Jotuni might be an interesting challenge, her language is so sparse, the sentences short and relatively simple, yet is it easy... https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/46072

Meyby some of these

You can get in to one of your library system https://piki.verkkokirjasto.fi/web/arena/e-kirjat-ohjeita

This is Finnish version from Gutenberg. There is mixture of times areas http://www.lonnrot.net/etext.html

Seems like some of those may need a library card.
