Can someone please explain to me when to use "Squirrels" and when to use "The squirrels". At the moment it seems pretty arbitrary to me.

I think either should be accepted here

Hei Community .. Why is >The<< Squirrels usually live ... not correct / accepted here? Thanks!

Well, it should be. I wondered whether there is a way in Finnish to distinguish between the most general form: " squirrels usually live in a tree" and a specific form : " the squirrels usually live in the tree" ( nuo oravat elävät yleensä tuo puussa - perhaps?)

Could "generally" and perhaps even "normally" be accepted for "yleensä"? "Usually" is good, but it's generally/usually ( :D ) "tavallisesti".

Maybe it could in some instances, but I'd often translate 'generally' as yleisesti (ottaen) and 'normally' as normaalisti/ tavallisesti.
