So we've had Lord of the Rings, Monty Python and now Star Wars, I wish all language courses were that geeky ;)
There was The Witcher, too! :D
I think I missed them, what were the references?
About the groom being a hedgehog. (Sulhanen on siili.)
Wow, which one was from LotR? Seems like I've missed it :(
Harmaa velho kävelee metsässä. Vai onko hän valkoinen velho?
Also several videogames. Like the Supermario brothers.
'That is no moon' sounds odd...
It's a quote from star wars :)
"That is no moon" is not as common as"That is not a moon", but it is a valid sentence. I think "That is no moon" implies that it is something dangerous.
And the Death Star was dangerous.
Se on ansa!
Cute Star Wars reference.
It's a space station.
"Tuo on avaruusasema" ?
Is "That is not the moon." really wrong? :(
No it isn't. It's just not a possible answer yet.
It's not a satellite.
IT'S A TRAAAAP!
Kuuta ei ole. Miksi ei käytetä partitiivi?
Kuuta ei ole = there is no moon
Why is this not partitive? I thought negative was usually partitive
Just with specific sentence structures, this not being one of them.
I think it should be "that is not the moon". Duo translation does not make any sense.
It is the Star wars reference, I am glad that Duo teach us with our favorite quotes <3
