A2 by August 10th

Hello! So I just started learning Finnish yesterday and my goal is to get to A2 by August 10th. Does anyone have any tips and resources you can share with me? That would be so helpful. Thanks.

If you just started learning Finnish yesterday reaching A2 in almost 6 weeks is not possible until you are also comfortable in one or more Finno-Ugric language(s) like Estonian, Hungarian

Because to reach A2 you may need 500 to 600 hours of effort altogether if you are English speaker. You practically can't do that in 1.5 months

So, if you haven't put lots of effort before even starting on Duolingo course. Then reaching A2 is a distant goal. You may reach there only by December of this year - if you use multiple resources

At the best you can complete the 35 units here and may get to A1.1 or A1.2

Here are some good resources for Finnish - https://www.reddit.com/r/LearnFinnish/wiki/resources

For Hungarian - which is a similar difficulty for English speakers - it takes at least 120 class hours plus as as much again in homework to get to A2 from A1. Remember "A2" is not just vocab - it is being able to use that vocab to not only to read, but to write, listen, and speak.

It is doable - but you will need to find a far more intensive course than DL - and probably a teacher who can guide and push you.
