Who has organised the exhibition? is a better translation but rejected.
"By whom.. " is closer to the French original...
... and still is a fully valid construction in everyday English for many of us... even ones that did NOT go to Grammar School!
"Who organised the exhibit?" is accepted
In this new part of the tree, Duo is accepting only a very limited range of solutions. This may be a bit annoying at times, but I feel the best way to handle it is to keep reporting.
"exhibition" is a better choice than "exhibit" in the translation.
Surely an 'exhibit' would not be organised by anyone - it's a single item in an exhibition which would definitely be organised by someone.
I wrote: the exhibit is organized by whom? not accepted. Like French, questions in english may be organized in various ways--wake up DUO!
Who organized the exposition? isn't acceptable which is disappointing. ..
Surely it's an exhibition that is organised. In English, an exhibit is one item of an exhibition
Why does "organisée" sound more American than French? Do French people ever say their "r"s like that, or is there a glitch in the system?
