Tous vs toutes? How to decide?
"Chemise" is feminine.
"Toutes les chemises", "tous les pantalons", "toute la famille", "tout le monde".
Excellent summary. This has been driving me nuts.
I don't understand why it's "les chemises" and not "des chemises" (all of the shirts).
I get them mixed up too. I got both wrong!
why not "a Marie" like in a previous question?

Why is the name Marie not capitalised? I would lose a heart for making such a mistake in one of my responses....or ,at the very least be reprimanded for making a spelling error.
