Learning Spanish through French as a native English speaker

Is there any other people here that either use the French they know or use the Spanish they know to learn the other language instead of their first language? Does anyone actually find it easier? I actually use both the "I want to learn Spanish" and the "Je veux apprendre espagnol" and I find it helps me understand my new language better.

I think I'm going to give that a try in the near future. I've finished the French tree, and I'm working on Spanish now. I thought I'd go a little further up the Spanish tree and then switch over to Spanish through French.

It looks like you're doing it now, so how's it going?
