Dem vs. Den

what is the difference?

Ich gebe dem Mann den Wagen. Both words in one phrase. "I give the car to the man" or "I give the man the car". Dem Mann is indirect object and masculin. Den Wagen is direct object and masculin. "Ich gebe den Männern den Wagen." Den Männern is indirect object plural (note the -n after Männer). Better look it up in some grammar (book or internet.)
