Niin söpö sana ^^
Ite oot, Nefertiti.
In Australia, we call this "tomato sauce." Reported it.
The proper word for ketchup in Finnish is "tomaattikastike" (tomato sauce). We just call it "ketsuppi". You are correct.
Ketchup is just tomato-colored vinegar and sugar. For some miracle reason, some like it.
Tomato sauce is something completely different (and that is my strong opinion).
In any case, ketchup is ketsuppi in Finnish.
Ketchup also contains a lot of lycopene which protects your cells. All in all it is, however, way too sugary, that's right.
Does this refer specifically to ketchup, or can it be any tomato based sauce, regardless of sugar content?
Only the sugary and salty kind, preferably (in my opinion) with 'Heinz' on the lable ;-)
"catsup" toimisi myös
In Portuguese it would be " ketschupee
