Yeah! It's the combination of mutta and ei. You could also combine mutta and en (mutten), mutta and et (muttet), että and eivät (etteivät) etc.

'Huuhkaja voi pelata jalkapalloa muttei koripalloa' is what I wrote.

It be easier if the translation of 'osata' would be 'to know how to'. Otherwise it's a bit ambiguous.
