"Excuse me, how much does this apple cost?"

Translation:Anteeksi, paljonko tämä omena maksaa?

It would be good if there was a way to provide the feedback that a certain word oder is possible but non-standard. Else it will be hard to catch that you might be emphasizing or adding unintended subcontext wrongly by accident.

I'm concerned that if all the possible permutations are added as possible answers, this crucial piece of info about the neutral/preferred word oder will be lost :( Maybe there is a possibility to have the alternatives accepted with a hint popping up, similar as in "pay attention to the accents"?

DL rejected: -Anteeksi, paljonko maksaa tämä omena?-. Is Finnish really so restrictive in the word order?

No, more of the opposite really (the Finnish word order). Your sentence is possible but a bit more uncommon than the one in the exercise. That could be reported though, maybe that will be added to the alternative answers :)

Thanks for your assessment MCR+!!

I grew up saying "paljonko maksaa [something]" but my Finnish ground to a half in about 1980. Is it an older way of talking?
