"Tässä ei ole mikrofonia."

Translation:This does not have a microphone.

July 8, 2020

I thought the translation would be: "There is no microphone here"

It could be, but "tässä" in this case more naturally refers to some kind of machine, rather than a spot somewhere. "Tässä (tietokoneessa) ei ole mikrofonia)" - This (computer) does not have a microphone.

"There is no microphone here" could be accepted though, since structure-wise it's something that the course has taught before.

This translation does not make sense. What is "This"??? Here is no microphone, should be accepted.

It would then have to be "there is no microphone here" or "here there is no..." , if you mean to say that this spot here does not have one.

    English needs the dummy there.
