Jano and Janoinen

Can we say both - "Minulla on jano" and "Minä olen janolinen"

and mean "I am thirsty". Or is the adjective form rarely / never used?

Yeah, you can say both "Minulla on jano" and "Minä olen janoinen"! I think the first one is more common, but both are used. It's the same thing with "Minulla on nälkä" and "Minä olen nälkäinen" (I am hungry)

Minulla on jano, is more of common spoken Finnish and Minä olen janoinen is more of official written Finnish.
