Shouldn't it be "Ma employeuse ..." or "Mon employeur ..." but not "Mon employeuse ..."?

why then, is "mon employeur cherche un nouveau comptable" marked incorrect? (actually, I wrote "conptable" but I would have thought that would be marked a typo, which it actually was)

I have the same question as MichaelHaa. I get the two vowel thing, but why not mon employeur? 'Employeur' is shown as an acceptable translation, when you hover over 'Employer'
