The expression is ne plus en pouvoir. It is a fixed expression, en here doesn't refer to anything particular. (A bit like en avoir marre).

Hi Jojo, Yes, it's a fixed expression, but I thought the word "en" referred to a previously mentioned action or thing either in the same sentence or very recently mentioned beforehand. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but in this sentence, "en" refers to the screaming.
