who has the most points on duolingo?
just curies, I would like to know, please if you think you have the most points plz comment.
I agree that Duolingo does not enable you to do this. In order to learn a language and speak, read, write and understand you need a multi-faceted approach. I use a variety of books from very old fashioned grammars to more colloquial text books and I also watch TV programmes/films etc in the languages. I know different people learn differently though. What Duolingo does do if usedproperly is to is to get you into a good habit of doing a bit every day. It also combines skills. For me it got me into Welsh quickly and then supplemented the course books and provided regular practice. I'm not keen on the competitive bits - I think they provide dubious motives for gaining xps etc. and don't encourage serious practice.
