Problems with Navajo

There are multiple problems with the Navajo program, which greatly lessens its usefulness. Whoever is writing translations does not know correct English usage and I find that answers are very inconsistent. The lack of spoken Navajo past the earliest lessons is a major shortcoming. I find that I am not motivated to stick with this program given the problems. I recommend that this program be reworked and reissued.

I believe the original course creators were U.S. school kids and their teacher, so native English speakers. Perhaps you are noting some dialect differences?

Actually, they are native Navajo speakers (Navajo is their first language), and may have only started English when they entered school. English is a second language for many of the Dineh people. There are also dialect differences in the course.

Oh interesting. I know lots of Navajo people, but none speak Navajo as their first language, so I assumed the school kids would be English-dominant. Of course, most of the people I know are from big cities like Grants, so ... ;)
