How is "Marie is interested a lot in politics" incorrect?

[deactivated user]

In my opinion, it's not natural English. I wrote it too but holding my nose thinking this was going to be another Duoism. It seems like every time I've translated beaucoup to really, Duo has rejected it. Sigh. I couldn't tell you why, but I think "She is interested a lot BY politics" or "Politics interest her a lot" sound ok though.

ditto for "Marie is interested in politics a lot". And why isn't vraiment used if 'really' is the intended translation?

It is not accepted for me. I believe that it should. Reported.

I have the same answer marked incorrect. I reported it.

Yeah, wondering the same thing. Perhaps a regionalism? Not recognised world wide?

Why isn’t “vraiment” used? To me “beaucoup” means a lot or much. Je ne comprends pas.

Why would 'very' interested not be acceptable?

    Incorrect translation provided by Duo

Why is "Marie is interested in politics very much" wrong?
