Why is it "Punaiset kengät ovat nykyään muotia" instead of "Punaiset kengät ovat muotia nykyään"?

It's not matter is it "nykyään muotia" or "muotia nykyään".

So if he was marked wrong, he should have reported it? I don't see any other errors in his sentence.

In fashion is also "muodissa".

Previous exercise was "muotia nykyään" Very inconsistent!

Both are absolutely right. The only difference is which word you want to emphasize more.

Kiitos. Without context I'd guess being in fashion would be more salient than emphasizing "these days," but the two factors are pretty equal. Hit the report button after checking the rest of your sentence for other mistakes.

Both are equally correct and are now hopefully fixed.
