"Vous fixerez un rendez-vous avec mon avocat.", BUT
"Vous prendrez rendez-vous chez le docteur.".

Does the requirement for "un" depend on "avec" vs "chez", "fixerez" vs "prendrez", or is it optional in both cases?

[EDIT]
And I just discovered that it's:
"Vous prendrez rendez-vous à l'hôpital.", so I guess it depends on the verb?

Do people really set an appointment? I've never heard that expression before.

In BritEng, "set a time" is normal, but "set an appointment" is idiosyncratic. We would use "make an appointment".

Why is "Vous fixerez rendez-vous avec mon avocat ?" not accepted?

Is "Vous prendrez rendez-vous avec mon avocat ?" correct? If not, why not?
