Why is "fete" rejected? Here in Australia we say fete or festival in various circumstances. We would say a "festival of dance" or a "music festival", but we would also have a "school fete". This sentence doesn't delineate what type of event it is, so "fete" should be accepted.

Is it just me, or in the full speed audio, does it sounds like the speaker is pronouncing 'rater' with three syllables: ra-a-tay?
