I too have been searching for ways to increase my listening comprehension. I have recently started watching the video series "French In Action". It was created by the late Pierre Capretz and produced by Yale University. It originally aired in 1987, but don't let its age turn you off as it is just as relevant to a contemporary student of French! You can find all fifty-two episodes here:

Each episode, except the first, is entirely in French. It's a bit cheesy but quite good. I believe you can even find the textbook for the course on Amazon if you're so inclined.

I have just started a French video section on my website. I've not got that many at the moment but I plan on doing a series on verb patterns like my Spanish one. http://spanishplus.tripod.com/french/index.htm#TopOfPage

There are a couple songs on Youtube for learning simple things. Like here's one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOdAzpZIS2U&index=8&list=PLiTzGCMB7MpxG_zidTUMGqS13vrQ7chrJ My advice for learning how to comprehend is to listen to Interviews and Weather forecast. It sounds strange but once you learn a few words you start to pick them up in the dialogue. And when you know the word(s) they are saying you can start using context clues on what else they are saying. Hope that helped!
