A learning process line graph, please, Duo.
Dear Duolingo team,
It's really great to look back at the learning history, I mean, the line graph under my profile photo, and see what I have been through. It reminds me of how hard I studied in the past few weeks, and it gives such a good feeling. Can you please extend the days to 30 days or 60 days instead of 7 days as you are doing now? :D I would really appreciate it. Best regards,
I feel the same way. I do need a report card....it would help keep people motivated. And, pronunciation , how is that evaluated? What are the hearts in the upper right -hand corner for?
The hearts are like your "lives." Each answer you get wrong makes you lose a heart and if you give 4 wrong answers you have the option of returning to the home menu or restarting the lesson. If you go to the lingot store you can buy an extra heart for 4 lingots. It'll give you the option of refilling your hearts after losing the first one. If you don't use it during a lesson, then it saves it for the next lesson you might need it.
Well articulated response...many thanks. But how do you determine the quality of actually "speaking" French ?
I'm still useless at speaking french, and i've been doing this for months. I can read very well though. I haven't been able to find a replacement for an actual french speaking person :(
So would I. It would be a nice thing to have. Also, I'd like the option to print it out
I was totally thinking this. Maybe there should be a zoom feature to change the time the graph shows. I really want to compare to last month, for example.
With my own websites, this is the most annoying: you have features, people get used to them, and think of five more you should implement. But DuoLingo developers, please take it as a compliment. I try to. :-)
So, from your viewpoint, do you like it when users tell you what they expect ?
yes, but it makes you despair at the same time.. :-) It's not easy for users to tell what is hard and easy to add or change. Some seemingly impossible things are easy, and vice versa. And then there's the entitled user - they have never done a thing for you, but just because they use your site a lot and love it so much, they feel they have earned the right to ❤❤❤❤❤ and complain. (I have to watch myself! I think I do this too...)
I think I got your point, yet I still believe that feedbacks from users are valuable whether the service provider can do something about it or not. It shows they trust the provider. Doesn't the fact that they are users already benefit the provider? -:)
We need report cards! I'd love to see how I'm doing! I don't know how they'd do it though... Like, what would we be graded on?
A progress chart is great too :)
Ya that would be cool! They would grade us on the progress maybe including the stuff u do wrong.
