How many lessons do you do per day?

I try to strengthen or review some lessons everyday. But most of the time I do atleast one whole lesson a day, in French. But in Italian I try to review my basics (I don't; want to get far on my Italian tree until my French tree is finished!) I'm just curious how often or how many lessons do you guys do per day?

It varies for me. If I'm having trouble with one, like French Questions, I'll focus on that until I can go through some practices without loosing hearts. I feel like I'm taking a long time to go through the tree. I've seen someone else be on the same level as me in French and have the tree completed. I'm only half way past the second check point. Personally, I'de rather retain more than complete the tree fast. I've only been on Duolingo since July.

Same here. I'm about the same level as you, just past the second checkpoint, but I've been studying French since April. I clearly don't do as many lessons as you do each day. I've never seen any skills lose their golden sheen. I usually start out my Duo session with about three review sessions, sometimes more. Sometimes it's a generic "Strengthen Skills" from the home page and sometimes it's a specific skill I feel like I need to work on. Then I work on a new lesson. Sometimes it's brand new, sometimes it's "left over" from the day before and I don't feel ready to move on yet. Then when I'm tired from the new lesson, I do another review or two if I have time and any brain power left. I take my time and read the sentence discussions, and look up things that confuse me. When I start a new lesson I spend a lot of time just reading stuff on the side. I feel like it helps me in the long run. At first I felt like I wasn't learning anything, and it was taking forever. But just recently I've been able to have little conversations with myself in my head in French, so I know I'm slowly getting there.

I find myself having conversations in my head in French without even trying to.

I agree with you I think it's better to fully understand a lesson or a section of the tree than to have the whole tree completed :)

I have never seen my tree not gold (except for the new lessons)

In Spanish: 1 a day was my absolute minimum. But I maintained an "average" of 5 lessons / day and found out than it was a correct speed for me to learn. One of my goal was to have no weak skill every sunday and to do learn rougly 10 lessons of new skills per week (ending every sunday night).

I usually try and do one, sometimes I decide to blitz it and race ahead when I'm bored. Recently I've been reviewing my tree to make it completely gold though.

I strengthen every skill that has lost its gold and only move on after that. As I am working on three trees that takes quite a bit of time. I have been working harder on Spanish as I started it a month after French and German to catch it up to the same level but it seems to be shorter and I will probably finish it first. I only have eleven skills left for that one. I have done roughly one a day, although when not so many skills have degoldened I sometimes do more.

Man you're busy busy busy hahaha! I'm attempting to learn Italian and Spanish. Honestly I'm not to focused on SPanish. I'm working mostly on my French but when I get tired of it or frusterated I go to Italian. I only do spanish if I want to strengthen my basic skills
