Sie isst den Apfel. Sie essen den Apfel.

In one of the lessons, there was these two options: Sie isst den Apfel. (this one was shown as incorrect, why?) Sie essen den Apfel.

Sie isst - she eats. Sie essen - They eat/You eat (very formal). Both are correct

Correction: both can be correct, depending on the original phrase.

Ok, I was just confused, but now I understand, the problem asked to translate "you" eat an apple, so "she" doesn't apply anymore.
