Audionya bukan ngomong "the" Namun kebiasaan pengejaan yang disambung jika huruf terakhir kata sebelumnya bertemu dengan vowel/vowel sound (AIUEO) maka akan disambung. She is just a child dalam pengejaannya akan menjadi Sheis (karena e bertemu dengan vowel i) justa (karena t bertemu dengan vowel a) child. Terdengarnya: Sheis Justa Child

bagaimana jika "dia hanyalah seorang anak"?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/NugrohoE

sudah benar. tapi kata "hanya" tidak usah diberi akhiran -lah

Hanyalah diterima oleh Duolingo.

I've found "hanyalah" in songs too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5FjAlrpGxs

Dia hanyalah anak-anak = diterima.

Why anak-anak?

Oops... I don't why that answer was accepted. Anak-anak means children, not child. hmm...

Beda pemakaian Just dan Only apa?

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Ms.Fixer

    Perbedaan "just" dan "only":

    • "She is just a child." -- Dia tidak cukup dewasa untuk mengucapkan pendapat tentang hal yang rumit. Orang lainnya meremehkan dia dan tidak ingin mendapatkan pendapatnya.

    • "She is only a child." -- Kalimat ini tidak lengkap. Itu harus dilanjutkan dengan kata-kata seperti... "She is the only child who can understand it." (Dia satu-satunya anak yang bisa mengerti ini.) Kalau "only" dipakai dengan kata benda (anak/child), "only" kadang-kadang berarti "satu-satunya", bukan "cuma/hanya".

What's the difference between "just" and "only"? Let me try to explain it:

    • "She is just a child." -- She is not old enough to express her opinion on complicated matters, for example. This sentence implies that other people underestimate her ability/maturity and thereby they are trying to ignore her opinion.

    • "She is only a child." -- This alternative sentence sounds a bit incomplete... It could be said like this: "She is the only child who can understand it." (Dia satu-satunya anak yang bisa mengerti ini.) If "only" is used with a noun such as "anak/child", "only" sometimes means "satu-satunya" (the only one; no one can be except her), not "cuma/hanya".

    What different child and kid??

    https://www.duolingo.com/profile/PERCE_NEIGE

Child = bahasa baku dan resmi, kid = bahasa gaul, tetapi betul.

Please help! Why they suggest me: "Dia hanya anak-anak." as correct? It's not plural?

Why "Dia hanya anak", with the singular, is wrong?

And they accept "Dia hanya seorang anak".
