This Occasionally Shows Up Before I Can Start Doing My Lesson?

When I begin a lesson, sometimes this is what I get before I can start:

---We can't play sound in your browser. It's possible that you have browser extensions that block Flash or that Flash crashed.

Let's fix this! If you have a Flash blocker add 'duolingo.com' to its whitelist. If Flash crashed try reloading the page.

Sound still not working? Go to the settings page in the top right corner to disable the speaker.---

I checked my browser, checked Flash, and started it again. Maybe my Flash had stopped or something?

Nope.

Well, sometimes it works. It's an occasional thing. Sometimes I start the lesson and it doesn't do this, other times it does...

So does anyone know how to fix this? I don't want to turn off the speakers, because I enjoy listening to what I have to type...

Thanks!

Ooooh... I used to get this too. I'd quit your browser and reopen it. If it helps, yeah! If not, try restarting your whole computer. I used to get this every lesson and it was so annoying. I tried everything and nothing worked. Then, the browser which I was using (Safari) on my 10.6.8 Mac, just was so slow I switched to Chrome (then again, it could have been my old computer). Chrome works beautifully for Duolingo, so no complaints there!

If any of that advice works, let me know!

I get this always when (and only when) I lose all the hearts and restart the lesson, but it always gets fixed simply by refreshing the page, so have not paid too much attention to it. But maybe I should report it, if others have similar issues, there might be a common root cause... I'm using Chromium in Kubuntu Linux.

EDIT: Aand.. two days afterwards it stopped happening. Perhaps they fixed something.
