Join a test group

Is there a way to join a test group for a feature I've seen by a friend and want to try out myself? For example I realy want to have the "words" feature, where I can practice especialy weak words.

No, i think the selection is completely random. Otherwise there would be no one in the group without the words tab. Everyone would want the feature.
