Could somebody help me understand the difference between "vlakbij" and "dichtbij" ?

As far as I know, they mean exactly the same thing.

I'm still struggling with the difference between "dichtbij" and "naar". Is there a difference?

I heard in another discussion that "naar" is "near" and includes a larger area than "dichtbij" which is "close to" or "nearby", but "near" still includes the more specific "close to".
