I've been reading some threads and I keep seeing people refer to the "Duolingo tree" what is that?
This is where you have your lessons and skills (99.999999% of the time, we are not referring to real trees).
Hey, I might be a little slow, but I'm not that slow! I figured you didn't mean actual trees. I just don't see anything that resembles a tree at all when I do my lessons.
No, no, it's something I tag on every time (in general, we really don't mention real trees at all, I found it funny), I'm not teasing or everything. I'm sorry that you felt that way. :( It had connectors in the old design, and looked more like a tree. Those lines are missing in the new design, but the name continued. :)

Also, I find that in other games they have "Skill trees" or "Skill paths". I think it's supposed to represent climbing to the top, or something?
If you want to be technical about it, we actually go down the tree, and usually refer to it as such.
